BEHIND THE LENS

Born 1988 in Esslingen am Neckar, Lily Erlinger spent her childhood shuttling between Munich, Miami, Brisbane and Sydney.

She discovered a passion for filmmaking early on. She majored in Visual and Environmental Studies at Harvard University, graduating in 2010 with Honours in her Field of Study. After several internships in the film industry in New York City, she decided to return to Germany in 2011 to study fiction directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.

There, her love for images and story was expanded to include a deep and abiding love for the actor. Lily began snapping portraits of actor friends in her spare time and the idea of Headsnap Pictures was born: portrait sessions, specifically tailored to the actor, with a photographer/director capable of seeing, creating and capturing the many faces every individual carries within.

Lily is fluent in both English and German.
